Holy Family Notre Dame Parish is the only Roman Catholic church in Port Alberni, on the traditional territories of the Hupacasath and Tseshaht First Nations.  The heart of Vancouver Island, Port Alberni sits at the head of the 40 km long Alberni Inlet and is accessed via Highway 4, which winds through Cathedral Grove, an old growth forest of Douglas Fir, and climbs to a height of 411 m over Mt. Arrowsmith- affectionately known to locals as "The Hump".  

We are a Christian community welcoming others to join us in our worship and service to God. Our emphasis is on learning and understanding the Bible and following the example of Jesus and his followers. Our priest is
Fr. Michael Tran. The vision of Holy Family Notre Dame is to make an impact for God, here in Port Alberni, by helping people understand the enriching messages of eternal hope given to us by Jesus Christ through His words and deeds.
